Islamabad: At a recent National Day Reception for Saudi Arabia, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to fortifying its longstanding friendship and cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The event highlighted the mutual endeavors aimed at enhancing partnerships across various sectors, including economy, trade, defense, culture, education, and fostering people-to-people connections.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Zardari used the occasion to express Pakistan’s intent to deepen bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia. In his speech, he outlined the strategic areas where both nations could benefit through increased collaboration.
In a similar vein, Prime Minister Sharif, in a televised message, underscored the continuous collaboration between the two countries to promote regional peace, stability, and development. He lauded the leadership of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, recognizing his role in advancing the causes of justice, equality, and peace on behalf of the Muslim world.
The reaffirmation of this bilateral relationship underscores the significant role Saudi Arabia plays as a key ally in the region and highlights the ongoing commitment of Pakistan to strengthen this partnership in various development sectors.
