Pakistan Labels US Sanctions on Local Entities as ‘Biased,’ Citing Political Motives

Islamabad: The Foreign Office of Pakistan has criticized the United States’ recent sanctions on Pakistani commercial entities allegedly linked to the country’s ballistic missile program, labeling the decision as biased and politically motivated. Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch addressed these concerns in response to media queries today.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Baloch remarked that similar actions in the past were often based on mere suspicions without substantial proof. She argued that such double standards and discriminatory practices not only compromise the integrity of global nonproliferation efforts but also escalate military imbalances and pose risks to international peace and security.
