Pakistan-Jordan Parliamentary Group Advances Diplomatic and Economic Ties

Islamabad: The Pakistan-Jordan Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG) convened an inaugural briefing session that marked a step forward in enhancing diplomatic, trade, and investment relations between the two nations. The session featured insights from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Commerce, and was chaired by Mr. Sher Ali Arbab, MNA and Convener of the PFG. Members of the Pakistani National Assembly, including Dr. Nafisa Shah and Mr. Ghulam Muhammad, were among the attendees.

According to a statement by National Assembly of Pakistan, the briefing included a virtual address by Maj General Muhammad Ajmal Iqbal (Retd), the Ambassador of Pakistan to Jordan. The focus was on diplomatic engagements, political collaboration, and existing partnerships. Discussions aimed at identifying new pathways to boost trade and attract investment, while addressing challenges such as trade imbalances and limited exchanges between the people of both nations.

Mr. Sher Ali Arbab emphasized his commitment to collaborating with relevant stakeholders to implement agreed initiatives and drive progress. He also expressed readiness to address any concerns to further strengthen the partnership between Pakistan and Jordan.

Members of the Pakistan-Jordan PFG reaffirmed their dedication to enhancing bilateral ties and expanding economic collaboration, underscoring the importance of strengthened parliamentary relationships for mutual benefit.
