Pakistan Initiates Land-Based Fruit Exports to Russia

Islamabad, Pakistan has commenced the export of fruits to Russia via a land route, marking a significant step forward in regional trade dynamics. This new development saw sixteen trucks from the National Logistics Corporation (NLC) transporting oranges to the Russian cities of Derbent and Grozny, covering a distance of nearly six thousand kilometers.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, this initiative has been well received in Russia, appreciating the NLC’s efforts to enhance bilateral trade relations. The venture into Russia follows the NLC’s successful logistics support for exporting bananas, meat, and seafood to various Central Asian Republics and China. The overland fruit delivery is not just a logistical achievement but also a testament to the strengthening economic ties between Pakistan and Russia, with potential positive implications for future trade and collaboration.
