Islamabad: In a tribute to national sports hero Arshad Nadeem, the federal government has unveiled a new postage stamp titled ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ as part of the Independence Day celebrations set for this Wednesday.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the stamp showcases an image of Arshad Nadeem, the Pakistani Olympian who set a new record in javelin throw at the Paris Olympics with a mark of 92.97 meters, clinching the gold medal. The stamp’s design, which also features the Minar-e-Pakistan, is intended to symbolize the nation’s ongoing journey toward progress and stability.
The ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ theme of the stamp not only reflects the government’s commitment to the country’s advancement but also aims to inspire and educate future generations about Pakistan’s quest for independence and the sacrifices that have shaped its history.
