Montreal: Pakistan has been awarded the Council President Certificate from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in recognition of its substantial advancements in aviation security. The accolade was presented during the concluding ceremony of the ICAO’s 42nd Assembly session in Canada.
Nadir Shafi Dar, Director General of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority, accepted the award on behalf of the country.
In his remarks at the ceremony, Dar emphasized Pakistan’s enduring dedication to adhering to ICAO’s standards and practices. He highlighted that the results of ICAO’s audits of Pakistan’s aviation sector underscore the nation’s focus on aviation security.
The acknowledgment from the ICAO is seen as a testament to the efforts made by Pakistan to enhance its aviation security protocols, aligning with international regulations and practices.
