Pakistan Government Pledges Comprehensive Skill Development for Youth

Karachi: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the government’s commitment to providing modern education, equal development opportunities, and professional training for the youth to compete globally. This announcement came during his message for World Youth Skills Day, outlining significant initiatives including sending youth abroad for advanced training in diverse fields.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif detailed the government’s initiatives aimed at youth empowerment. These include sending three hundred thousand youths for professional training in information technology and one thousand in modern agriculture practices in China. These efforts highlight a commitment to not only advancing skills in traditional and technological fields but also ensuring inclusivity by prioritizing women and youths from less developed areas.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister disclosed ongoing national training programs in information technology and reforms in institutions under NAVTCC, aimed at aligning technical education with market demands. This strategic approach is intended to prepare thousands of young individuals for professional success, catering to current and future market needs.
