Islamabad, In a move that brings relief to consumers, the Pakistani government has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products for the upcoming fortnight, petrol prices have been decreased by 2.04 rupees per liter, now standing at 281.34 rupees. Additionally, the price of high-speed diesel has been lowered by 6.47 rupees to 296.71 rupees per liter.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, The government has also reduced the prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil by 6.05 rupees and 9.01 rupees per liter, respectively, with new prices set at 204.98 rupees for kerosene and 180.45 rupees for light diesel oil. This decision, taken on the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, is expected to ease the financial burden on consumers and reflect positively on the overall economic landscape.
