Pakistan Government and TLP Intensify Support for Palestinians Amidst Conflict

Islamabad: The Federal government of Pakistan, in collaboration with Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), has resolved to intensify its support efforts for Palestinians, focusing on humanitarian assistance amid ongoing regional conflicts.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, announced these commitments during a joint news conference held in Islamabad. Flanked by the Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, and other representatives from both the government and TLP, Sanaullah detailed the collaborative efforts which include sending a thousand tons of food, medicine, and other essential supplies to Gaza. Further actions outlined include the provision of medical assistance and potential deployment of medical staff to the region. The government also plans to host injured Palestinians for treatment within Pakistan if arrangements are made by the Palestinian authority.

Sanaullah condemned the ongoing violence in the region, specifically criticizing Israeli actions in strong terms and labeling them as war crimes by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He emphasized that Pakistan will continue to voice its opposition to these actions on international platforms, including the recent SCO Summit in Astana, Kazakhstan. Additionally, a committee has been formed to identify and take action against local entities that may be supporting Israeli forces indirectly.

The government’s intensified efforts also include advocating for international and Muslim community support to hold the Israeli leadership accountable. Furthermore, Pakistan and TLP are pushing for the release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui as part of their broader human rights advocacy.
