Pakistan Gears Up for General Elections Tomorrow

Islamabad, Pakistan is poised for a significant democratic exercise tomorrow with the scheduled general elections for the National Assembly and the four provincial assemblies. The electoral campaigns, led by various political parties and independent candidates, wrapped up last night across the nation, setting the stage for the voting process.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Election Commission of Pakistan has finalized all necessary preparations to facilitate the elections. A total of 90,675 polling stations have been set up across the four provinces to accommodate the electoral process. In the race for the National Assembly seats, 5,121 candidates are contesting, while 12,695 candidates are competing for seats in the provincial assemblies.

With a staggering 128,585,760 registered voters, the country is on the cusp of deciding its future legislative direction. The extensive number of polling stations and candidates underscores the scale of these elections and the Election Commission’s efforts to ensure a smooth and inclusive voting day for all eligible Pakistani citizens.
