Islamabad, October 16, 2022 (PPI-OT):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says Pakistan is fully committed to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals aimed at ending poverty, improving health and education and spurring economic growth.
In his message on World Food Day, being observed today (Sunday), the Prime Minister said due to recent floods in the country, the situation is no doubt very challenging. He said in order to provide relief to the farming community and boost the agricultural economy, the government is going to arrange a Kissan Conference soon where a package will be announced for the uplift of the agriculture sector.
The Prime Minister urged the international development partners and the global community to stand by Pakistan in its efforts to deal with the post-flood reconstruction, particularly in terms of tackling the food challenges. The Prime Minister also urged to work together to play our role individually and collectively to make the communities, societies and the world at large food secure.
