Pakistan Firm on Not Negotiating with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Says Foreign Office

Islamabad: The Pakistani government has unequivocally stated that it will not engage in negotiations with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), reiterating its stance against the terrorist group.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a weekly briefing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch emphasized that the TTP has been involved in numerous attacks on both Pakistani and foreign citizens.

She affirmed Pakistan’s respect for Afghanistan’s sovereignty and expressed expectations that Afghan authorities would address terrorist sanctuaries within their borders effectively. Baloch also discussed the ongoing Illegal Foreigners Repatriation Plan, noting significant progress in the repatriation of illegal foreign residents, including Afghans, and clarified that no concessions have been made regarding the suspension of this initiative.
