Washington DC, In a meeting today with Ms. Hela Cheikhrouhou, Regional Vice President for MCT at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb, outlined Pakistan’s ongoing reforms in taxation, energy, and privatization sectors.
According to Press Information Department, Minister Aurangzeb emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the IFC, particularly in the areas of securitization of remittances, mining, airport management, and capacity building. The discussions focused on how these initiatives could be supported by the IFC to enhance Pakistan’s economic development and infrastructural capabilities.
The engagement highlights the Government of Pakistan’s proactive approach in seeking international collaboration to boost economic growth and improve sectoral management, reinforcing its resolve to implement substantial reforms in key areas of national interest.
