Islamabad, Pakistan has extended its condolences to Afghanistan in the wake of severe flash floods that have resulted in significant loss of life and extensive property damage across several Afghan provinces. The floods, triggered by heavy rainfall, have brought hardship and suffering to numerous communities throughout the region.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Pakistani government and its citizens are deeply moved by the plight of those affected in Afghanistan. “The Government and the people of Pakistan express their heartfelt condolences on the tragic loss of life and widespread damage to property caused by heavy rains and flash floods,” the ministry stated. Pakistan has affirmed its support for Afghanistan, emphasizing a shared sentiment of solidarity during this challenging period.
The statement further conveyed the Pakistani people’s thoughts and prayers for the families of the victims, those injured, and all communities disrupted by this disaster. Additionally, Pakistan expressed hopes for the swift recovery of individuals who are still missing as a result of the floods.
