Islamabad, January 03, 2022 (PPI-OT): Pakistan has expressed its full support for the vaccine equity campaign initiated by UN General Assembly President Abdulla Shahid at the start of the New Year. In a press release issued by Pakistan Mission to the United Nations, Ambassador Munir Akram reiterated that for a sustainable and swift recovery from COVID-19 pandemic, it is necessary to ensure equitable access to vaccines for everyone and everywhere. He said no one is safe until everyone is safe from the virus.
Earlier, launching the social media campaign titled, “New Year’s Resolution for Vaccine Equity”, the UN General Assembly President called for redoubling efforts during the New Year to ensure vaccine equity in the world.
