Pakistan expresses deep concerns over Indian partial, one-sided trial against Yasin Malik 

Islamabad, May 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):Pakistan has expressed deep concerns over the Indian partial and one sided trial against Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik in a false case registered against him. According to Kashmir Media Service, this was stated by Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb, while taking to media along with spouse of Yasin Malik, Mashal Malik and her daughter in Islamabad, today.

The Information Minister said the allegations of terrorism against Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik are baseless and he was indicted by an Indian court on Thursday. As per the Indian media and social media reports, he would be given sentence to death or life imprisonment on Wednesday.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said by denying Yasin Malik the right to a transparent and free trial, India is openly violating international law and human rights Protocols. She called upon the international community to take notice of India’s blatant violations of international law against Yasin Malik.

The Minister said Pakistan stands with the Kashmiris in their freedom movement. Speaking on the occasion, Hurriyat leader Mashal Malik said her husband is not being provided counsellor access, right of fair and transparent trial for his Defense in Tihar Jail. She demanded of the international community and the United Nations for an independent investigation and put the case in International Court of Justice. She also demanded that Yasin Malik may also be declare as protected personality.
