Pakistan Expects Cold and Dry Weather, with Fog/Smog in Upper Regions

Islamabad , Pakistan is set to experience mainly cold and dry weather in most plain areas, with very cold conditions anticipated in northern regions, latest forecast from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Islamabad.

According to National Weather Forecasting Centre – Islamabad, indicates that continental air is currently prevailing over most parts of the country. For Monday, the weather is expected to remain mainly cold and dry in most plains, while fog and smog are likely to occur in upper Sindh and the plain areas of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during the night hours. This pattern is expected to continue into Tuesday, with fog and smog likely during the morning and night hours in the same regions.

Over the past 24 hours, the country has experienced cold and dry weather in most parts, with cloudy conditions in the upper parts. The lowest minimum temperatures recorded today were in Leh at -06°C, followed by Skardu, Kalam, Astore, Gupis, Kalat at -05°C, and Gilgit, Quetta, Rawalakot, Hunza, and Dir at -03°C.

This weather update is crucial for residents and travelers in the affected regions, as they need to prepare for the cold conditions and potential visibility issues due to fog and smog.
