Islamabad, Gohar Ejaz, the Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Production, revealed that Pakistan is actively entering discussions and examining transit trade agreements to enhance market access with neighboring countries. The Minister shared this during his interaction with the President of the EXIM Bank, Ren Shengjun, in Shanghai.
According to a news release by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Ejaz further elaborated on Pakistan’s dedication to inviting investments into its mining sector, appealing to Chinese firms to consider partnership opportunities. He also declared the establishment of Special Economic Zones in key cities like Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad, all of which will be equipped with advanced facilities to spur industrial growth. Ren Shengjun reciprocated by expressing his aspiration for Pakistan to emerge as a pivotal hub for China’s productivity and development endeavours.
