Pakistan Embassy Hosts Investment Conference in Beijing to Foster Bilateral Economic Ties


Beijing: The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing organized the “Pakistan Investment Conference: Together for a Shared Future” today, aimed at enhancing foreign investment opportunities in sectors like agriculture, industry, ICT, and banking. The event coincided with the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), drawing significant participation from key stakeholders in the Pakistani and Chinese business communities.



According to Press Information Department, the conference was marked by presentations on investment opportunities and sector-specific panel discussions. Ambassador Khalil Hashmi opened the event by reiterating Pakistan’s dedication to deepening economic relations with China and outlined a roadmap for future business-to-business (B2B) conferences. High-ranking Chinese officials, including Ms. Liu Meiying and Mr. Li An, expressed support for the collaborative economic endeavors highlighted during the conference.



The conference also featured keynote video messages from Federal Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan and Federal Minister for Investment, Privatization, and Communication Aleem Khan, both emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating Chinese investments. Noteworthy during the event was the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding worth over 350 million US dollars, underlining the strengthening economic integration and potential for future cooperation between the two nations.
