Pakistan Dispatches 18th Relief Consignment to Palestine and Lebanon

Islamabad: Pakistan has dispatched its 18th relief consignment to the conflict-stricken regions of Palestine and Lebanon. A send-off ceremony marking the dispatch was held at Islamabad International Airport, attended by Anjum Aqeel Khan, a Member of the National Assembly, along with Lebanese Ambassador Ghassan Al Khatib, and representatives from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to National Disaster Management Authority, the MNA highlighted the urgent necessity to provide aid to the affected populations in these regions, in light of the ongoing conflict and the needs of the communities. He reiterated the Government of Pakistan’s dedication to supporting those in distress and underscored the role of welfare organizations and the Pakistani public in bolstering these relief efforts. To date, a total of 1,705 tons of relief goods have been sent to the war-affected areas. Following instructions from the Prime Minister, a special account named the “Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Gaza and Lebanon” has been established to collect public donations to support those facing war emergencies in these areas.
