Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan, through the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), has sent its 17th relief consignment to the war-stricken regions of Palestine and Lebanon, emphasizing its continued commitment to humanitarian aid.

According to Press Information Department, the latest shipment, organized under the directives of the Prime Minister, was dispatched from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport to Beirut. The 17-ton aid package included tents, food tins, dry milk, rice, clothes, hygiene kits, and medicines, and was sent in collaboration with the Al-Khidmat Foundation.

The send-off ceremony was attended by Dr. Farooq Sattar, MNA, along with representatives from NDMA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Al-Khidmat Foundation. Dr. Sattar highlighted the urgent need for ongoing support to the populations in Gaza and Lebanon, urging further collaboration among welfare organizations and the Pakistani public to bolster these relief efforts.

The Government of Pakistan has now sent a total of 1610 tons of aid to Gaza. Additionally, the Prime Minister has established the “Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Gaza and Lebanon” to facilitate donations from the public, aiming to provide sustained support to those affected by conflicts in these regions.
