Islamabad: In a significant push to enhance economic growth, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal announced that the government is formulating a strategy aimed at boosting Pakistan’s exports to $100 billion. The plan focuses on capitalizing on the country’s potential in diverse sectors including information technology, mining, and the blue economy.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a ceremony in Islamabad, Minister Iqbal highlighted the crucial role of the private sector in achieving these ambitious export targets. He underscored the government’s commitment to economic development through sectoral enhancement and collaboration with private enterprises.
Commerce Minister Jam Kamal, also speaking at the event, provided a positive outlook on the nation’s economy, noting significant improvements in inflation and interest rates, along with progress in other economic indicators. These developments signify a turning point in Pakistan’s economic trajectory, aligning with broader efforts to stimulate growth and stabilize the economy.
