Islamabad, The Ministry of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives recently held the Pakistan Development Summit, where experts from diverse sectors gathered to discuss strategies for Pakistan’s economic growth. Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal emphasized the crucial link between development, peace, and political stability and advocated for a comprehensive national economic charter to sustain progress.
According to Press Information Department, Minister Iqbal introduced the 5Es framework Exports, E-Pakistan, Environment and Climate Change, Energy, and Equity and Empowerment as a roadmap for sustainable development. He stressed the importance of consistent policies and a stable democratic environment over the next decade to achieve these goals effectively.
Secretary Planning Awais Manzur Sumra also spoke at the summit, outlining the nation’s economic challenges and the strategic measures being implemented to overcome them. He expressed confidence in Pakistan’s potential to become a trillion-dollar economy by 2035 with robust policy execution and collaborative efforts across government and industry sectors.
