Pakistan desires to further enhance military cooperation with Azerbaijan: Army Chief

Islamabad, June 22, 2021 (PPI-OT): Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said Pakistan desires to further enhance bilateral military cooperation and regional partnership with Azerbaijan. According to the ISPR, army chief who is on a two-day long official visit to Azerbaijan expressed Pakistan army’s desire in his meeting with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.

Minister of Defence of Azerbaijan Colonel General Hasanov Zakir Asgar Oglu was also present during the meeting. General Bajwa said Pakistan and Azerbaijan share common values based on rich cultural, religious and historical affinities and have tremendous geo-strategic significance and potential for mutually beneficial and enhanced cooperation at all fora. The Azerbaijan side thanked the Army Chief for Pakistan’s support to Azerbaijan at all international fora.
