Islamabad: Pakistan has firmly refuted claims made by the Indian magazine Firstpost regarding an alleged agreement between Pakistan’s military and intelligence agencies from the United States and Israel. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has dismissed the report as false and misleading, emphasizing that there are no discussions concerning any military deployment.
In a statement, the Ministry stressed that Pakistan has not recognized Israel and reiterated its support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination. The report by Firstpost was described as an inaccurate piece of journalism.
The Ministry clarified that neither the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army nor the Foreign Office has endorsed or announced any Pakistani military mission in Gaza. It criticized Firstpost for violating journalistic standards by taking information out of context from a private newspaper and misrepresenting it as ‘intelligence leaks.’
The Ministry pointed out that the sources referenced by Firstpost are from a media outlet with a history of publishing unverified information. The magazine had claimed, without basis, that Pakistan’s military had entered into an agreement with the CIA and Mossad to send 20,000 soldiers to Gaza.
The statement from the Ministry serves as a categorical rejection of the Indian magazine’s claims, maintaining Pakistan’s consistent policy stance.
