Islamabad: Pakistan has officially condemned Israel’s recent military actions in Lebanon, which reportedly resulted in the deaths of hundreds of civilians. The government describes these actions as a serious breach of international norms and a threat to regional stability.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the assault by Israel on Lebanon constitutes “a grave violation of the UN Charter and international law.” The statement highlighted the intensity of the situation, characterizing it as a perilous escalation that jeopardizes peace in an already unstable region.
Further, Pakistan expressed unwavering support for Lebanon, reaffirming its commitment to Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The solidarity extends to the Lebanese people, emphasizing their right to live in peace and security.
The Pakistani government has called on the international community to respond promptly. It urged global leaders and organizations to hold Israel accountable for what it termed as “alarming adventurism” and acts that could be classified as aggression and genocide. The call to action underscores Pakistan’s stance on the need for immediate and effective international intervention to prevent further escalations.
