Islamabad: Pakistan has issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli military strikes on Iran, describing them as serious violations of international law and the United Nations Charter. The strikes, which occurred early Saturday, have been characterized by Pakistan as undermining efforts towards regional peace and stability and escalating tensions in an already unstable area.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “These actions by Israel not only violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran but also pose a significant threat to the path toward regional peace.” The statement emphasized Israel’s responsibility for the current escalation and expansion of conflict within the region.
Pakistan has called on the UN Security Council to intervene and play its designated role in maintaining international peace and security. The statement from Islamabad urges immediate actions to curb what it termed as Israeli recklessness and criminal behavior, pressing for a concerted international effort to restore and preserve peace in the region.
