Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan’s Foreign Office have issued strong condemnations of recent Israeli military actions against Iran, criticizing them as serious violations of international law and threats to regional stability.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif expressed his disapproval on social media, stating that such acts jeopardize not only regional peace but also contravene the principles of sovereignty under international law. He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to standing with Iran and other neighboring nations in the quest for peace, urging all involved parties to exercise restraint to prevent further escalation.
Additionally, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch detailed that the Israeli strikes are seen as severe breaches of the United Nations Charter. She described the attacks as dangerously escalating tensions in an already unstable region, holding Israel fully accountable for the recent increase in conflict and calling upon the United Nations Security Council to intervene decisively. Baloch also appealed to the international community to help restore peace and ensure security in the region.
