Pakistan Denounces Israeli Airstrikes on Beirut

Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan has issued a strong condemnation of the recent airstrikes carried out by Israeli forces on southern Beirut and other parts of southern Lebanon. This military action, occurring on the eve of Eid al-Adha, has been described by Pakistan as a direct violation of international law, the sovereignty of Lebanon, and the ceasefire agreement established in November 2024.

In its statement, Pakistan criticized the use of force, highlighting the threat it poses to civilian lives and regional stability. The airstrikes are seen as a setback to efforts aimed at achieving long-term peace in the region.

Expressing solidarity with Lebanon, Pakistan has called upon the international community, specifically the United Nations and those involved in mediating the ceasefire, to take prompt measures to hold Israeli forces accountable and to prevent any further escalation of hostilities.

Reaffirming its commitment, Pakistan stated its dedication to peace, justice, and adherence to international law. The statement comes amid rising tensions in the region, emphasizing the need for diplomatic efforts to restore calm.
