Islamabad: Pakistan has officially condemned the recent attack on the residence of the United Arab Emirates’ Ambassador in Khartoum, Sudan, describing it as a breach of international law and diplomatic norms.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Foreign Office spokesperson criticized the attack, labeling it a violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961, which demands respect for diplomatic premises and personnel. The incident resulted in significant damage to the UAE Ambassador’s residence.
In response to the attack, the UAE announced its intention to file complaints with major international and regional organizations, including the League of Arab States, the African Union, and the United Nations, seeking to address and rectify the violation of its diplomatic rights.
