Karachi, Pakistan is set to observe a national day of mourning tomorrow [Monday] following the passing of the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah. This declaration by Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar reflects the deep bond and solidarity between Pakistan and Kuwait.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the decision for the day of mourning was made to express the Pakistani government and people’s fraternal solidarity with the royal family, government, and people of Kuwait. As a mark of respect, the national flag will be flown at half-mast throughout the country on the day.
