Pakistan Day Celebrated Across Canada with Patriotic Zeal


Ottawa, The spirit of patriotism was palpable as Pakistan Day was celebrated at the High Commission in Ottawa and the three Consulates in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. The day, marking the commemoration of Pakistan’s founding vision, saw the Pakistani diaspora and Canadians, including parliament member Mr. Yasir Naqvi, gather in unity. High Commissioner Mr. Zaheer A. Janjua led the flag-hoisting ceremony, accompanied by the national anthem, showcasing the deep-rooted pride and connection to their homeland among Pakistanis residing in Canada.



According to Press Information Department, Ambassador Janjua, in his message, paid homage to the founders of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Mohammad Iqbal, emphasizing their vision and relentless efforts towards the creation of an independent nation. He reflected on the significant progress Pakistan has made over the years and praised the resilience of its people. The High Commissioner underscored the vital role of the Pakistani community in Canada, acknowledging their contributions to fostering strong bilateral ties and enhancing the image of Pakistan abroad.



The celebrations brought together a wide segment of the community, highlighting the enduring spirit of patriotism and the importance of the diaspora’s role in bridging cultures and strengthening international relationships.
