Pakistan Customs Intercepts Smuggling Operations at Silk Route Dry Port


Gilgit: Pakistan Customs has intercepted two significant smuggling operations at the Silk Route Dry Port in Sost, Gilgit-Baltistan. During intelligence-based operations conducted between the 24th and the 27th of this month, customs officials seized 317 concealed mobile phones and approximately 3,540 bottles of foreign-origin liquor.



According to Radio Pakistan, the operations also led to the recovery of 42 cartons of pork meat and other Chinese food items. These actions are part of ongoing efforts to curb smuggling activities in the region, reflecting the commitment of Pakistan Customs to enforce regulations and secure the country’s borders.
