Islamabad, October 24, 2021 (PPI-OT):An event was organised to celebrate Pakistan cultural night and food festival at ECO Cultural Institute (ECI). Diplomats, Ambassadors from Missions in Tehran, Media representatives, Iranian think tanks, and large number of Iranian and Pakistani community participated in the event.
Renowned Pakistani Qawaal duo Fareed Ayaz- Abu Muhammad paid tribute to Holy prophet by singing their Qawwalis. The audience was captivated by their performances. Calligraphy on poetry of Allama Iqbal (Popularly Known as Iqbal Lahori) by Mr. Khosrow Azarbeyg was also displayed in which the audience showed keen interest.
Mr. Gholam Ali Haddad Adel, Head of Persian language and literature and Saa’di Foundation speaking on occasion said that Pakistan and Iran share good neighbourly relations. Cultural events like these help in gaining deeper understanding of each other’s culture. H.E., Rahim Hayat Qureshi, Ambassador of Pakistan, speaking on the occasion thanked the chief guest for gracing the event.
H.E. highlighted the importance of the qawali for paying tribute to Holy prophet (PBUH) as it was occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi in Iran. On the occasion, a minute of silence was observed in to express solidarity with people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. In the end the guests were served sumptuous cuisine from different regions of Pakistan.
