Islamabad: The Pakistan-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group convened its inaugural briefing session to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation. The meeting, led by Convener Syed Mustafa Mehmood, focused on enhancing diplomatic relations and exploring new trade opportunities between the two countries.
The session was attended by notable group members, including MNA Abdul Latif and MNA Malik Muhammad Iqbal. Key presentations were made by the Ambassador of Pakistan in Cuba and senior representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Commerce, outlining the current landscape and future potential of Pakistan-Cuba relations.

The potential for Pakistan’s trade in key agricultural commodities, such as rice, cotton, sugar, and wheat, was acknowledged, with suggestions to explore practical trade avenues with Cuba.
