Pakistan Criticizes Indian Leadership’s Recent Remarks Amid Rising Tensions

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a strong response to recent remarks by Indian leaders and the spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, calling them antagonistic and reflective of a troubling mindset that prioritizes hostility over peace.

The Pakistani spokesperson criticized statements made in Bihar and other parts of India, asserting that these comments attempt to unjustly portray Pakistan as a source of regional instability. The spokesperson emphasized that such narratives ignore India’s own record, which Pakistan claims includes support for terrorist activities within its borders.

A key point of contention highlighted by the spokesperson is the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, which Pakistan considers the core issue threatening regional peace and stability. The spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to a resolution aligned with United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, warning that ignoring this issue could lead to continued mistrust and potential conflict.

The statement further condemned what it described as India’s jingoism and coercion, declaring that India cannot achieve its objectives through threats or misrepresentation. Pakistan affirmed its commitment to peace and constructive engagement, while also emphasizing its resolve to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Pakistani spokesperson concluded by calling for maturity, restraint, and a focus on addressing the root causes of conflict in South Asia, rather than pursuing political gains at the expense of regional harmony.
