Islamabad: Pakistan has organized a comprehensive media visit to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) for both national and international journalists, aiming to counteract recent allegations made by Indian media outlets.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the tour was initiated in response to reports by Indian media suggesting that alleged militants had escaped from specific areas targeted by Indian forces. The areas in question include Kel, Dudhnial, Athmuqam, Jawar, Lipa, Forward Kahuta, Kotli, Chaman Kot, and Jan Kot.
India Today has been at the forefront of these claims, asserting that militants have been relocated from these regions. In an effort to refute this narrative, Pakistan facilitated the media visit to provide firsthand insight into the areas mentioned.
Pakistan has firmly dismissed the assertions made by India Today, indicating that these reports are part of a fabricated narrative aimed at misleading the public. The media tour serves as a strategic move to expose what Pakistan describes as baseless propaganda.
The initiative underscores Pakistan’s stance on the ongoing information tussle with India, as both nations continue to vie for international legitimacy over the Kashmir dispute.
