Dubai: The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai commemorated the 78th anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence Day with a flag-hoisting ceremony marked by national pride and enthusiasm. A significant gathering of Pakistani expatriates attended the event, which included readings of messages from the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Consul General H.E. Hussain Muhammad greeted the attendees, offering congratulations on the national day. Muhammad praised Pakistan’s fortitude and solidarity against recent external threats, emphasizing the triumphs in Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos as landmark victories. He characterized these accomplishments as demonstrations of Pakistan’s professional capability and steadfast national determination.
Muhammad encouraged the Pakistani diaspora to maintain their positive contributions to the advancement of both the UAE and Pakistan, applauding their role in the host nation’s economic success and their continued support for their homeland. Expressing appreciation to the UAE government, the Consul General acknowledged their backing of the large-scale Independence Day festivities organized by Emirates Loves Pakistan in partnership with the Pakistan Association Dubai at Expo City Dubai on August 10, 2025.
The ceremony also featured patriotic musical performances by students of the Pakistan Education Academy Dubai and a quiz competition.
