Pakistan Consulate In Chengdu Celebrates Independence Day With Flag Hoisting, Patriotic Speeches


Islamabad: The Pakistani Consulate in Chengdu commemorated the nation’s 78th Independence Day with a formal ceremony on August 14th. The observance commenced with the raising of the national flag, followed by the recitation of messages from the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister.



Consul General Tanvir A. Bhatti delivered an address honoring the founders of Pakistan and their aspirations for a thriving and sovereign nation. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by those who gave their lives for the country and lauded the bravery of the armed forces, particularly in recent confrontations with a hostile nation.



Bhatti encouraged Pakistanis residing in Southwest China to continue their contributions and serve as ambassadors for the Pakistan-China friendship.
