Islamabad: Pakistan has extended its congratulations to Mahmoud Ali Youssouf and Selma Malika Haddadi following their elections as Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, respectively.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to collaborate with the new leadership of the African Union Commission. The aim is to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and the African Union.
Khan emphasized the importance of fortifying ties with African nations and indicated that Pakistan anticipates a productive relationship under the new leadership. The recent elections are seen as an opportunity to advance mutual goals and strengthen diplomatic relations.
The African Union Commission plays a pivotal role in promoting unity and cooperation among African countries, and Pakistan hopes to contribute positively to these efforts under the leadership of Youssouf and Haddadi.
