Islamabad: Pakistan today announced the successful training launch of the Shaheen-II, a surface-to-surface ballistic missile, as part of a routine exercise aimed at refining the operational readiness and technical capabilities of its strategic forces. The launch served as a validation of various system improvements, enhancing the missile’s accuracy and survivability in potential conflict scenarios.
According to Inter Services Public Relations, the exercise was closely monitored by senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Strategic Forces Command, and several key scientists and engineers from strategic organizations. The Director General of the Strategic Plans Division praised the technical expertise and dedication of the team responsible for this significant achievement in Pakistan’s defense capabilities.
The training launch has garnered commendations from Pakistan’s top officials, including the President, the Prime Minister, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the Services Chiefs, all of whom extended their congratulations to the scientists and engineers for their pivotal role in advancing the nation’s strategic defense objectives.
