Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly condemned the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by Israeli settlers and the raising of the Israeli flag within its premises. The actions have been described as a violation of international law and the sanctity of the site.
According to Radio Pakistan, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi expressed that these acts are provocative and could potentially escalate tensions in the region. Andrabi emphasized the need for protective measures for holy sites under Israeli control and called for the cessation of actions by illegal settlers.
Pakistan has reiterated its solidarity with the Palestinian people and supports their right to worship freely. The country also reaffirms its commitment to the establishment of a Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
