Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif spoke with Qatar’s Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, expressing strong condemnation of India’s missile strikes on Pakistani territory. The strikes resulted in the deaths of 26 people and the destruction of religious sites, escalating tensions in South Asia.
During the call, Sharif thanked Qatar for its support and underscored Pakistan’s commitment to defending its sovereignty. He reiterated that Pakistan seeks peace but is prepared to respond to aggression with full force.
Sharif called for an international investigation into the incident, inviting Qatar to participate. He criticized India’s actions as aggressive and contrary to peace efforts.
Qatar’s Prime Minister expressed condolences for the loss of life and praised Pakistan’s efforts towards peace. He affirmed Qatar’s willingness to assist in de-escalating the situation.
