According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a group of extremists compromised the consulate’s security on Tuesday, putting the lives of its staff at risk. The incident has sparked a robust diplomatic response, with Pakistan formally protesting to the German government and demanding accountability for the security lapses under the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, which obligates the host nation to ensure the safety of foreign diplomatic missions.
