Islamabad, September 11, 2023 (PPI-OT): Caretaker Defence Minister Lt General retired Anwar Ali Hyder has said Pakistan is committed to supporting initiatives on peace.
He was talking to Australian High Commissioner Neil Hawkins, who called on him in Rawalpindi on Monday.
The two sides discussed peace and security in the regional and global context.
The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in this regard, especially in the Afghanistan peace process.
Bilateral cooperation avenues in the field of counterterrorism and economics also came under discussion.
Agreeing on the existence of enormous scope for strengthening and further cementing bilateral defence ties, both sides assured taking specific practical steps in this regard.
