Islamabad, Caretaker Minister for Planning, Muhammad Sami, has expressed Pakistan’s strong commitment to creating a secure business environment for investors, particularly highlighting the country’s eagerness to welcome foreign, especially Chinese, investment.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Sami’s comments came during a meeting with a high-profile Chinese business delegation in Islamabad today. The delegation, led by Li Ting, Chairman of the Chang Chinag Chamber of Commerce, discussed with the Minister potential collaborative ventures and opportunities for the relocation of industries to Pakistan.
The Minister also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to advancing the Belt and Road Initiative, with a special focus on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a flagship program of the initiative. The meeting between the two sides emphasized exploring new avenues for business expansion and collaboration in various sectors, underlining the mutual benefits of increased investment and industrial development.
