ABBOTTABAD, A group of mid-career officers from the 38th Management Course of the Pakistan Civil Service embarked on a comprehensive study tour of Abbottabad and Peshawar. Led by senior officer Ms. Seemi A. Khan from the National Institute of Management (NIM) in Islamabad, the participants were introduced to various key institutions in Abbottabad, gaining insights into their functioning and challenges.
According to Press Information Department, the tour commenced with a visit to the Army Burn Hall School where the officers were briefed extensively about the school’s operations and were given a tour of its various departments. Following this, the delegation headed to the Commissioner Office in Abbottabad. Here, Commissioner Mr. Zaheer-ul-Islam acquainted the officers with ongoing dam projects in the Hazara Division and updated them on their current progress.
Subsequent to this, a meeting with the Regional Police Officer of Abbottabad, DIG Muhammad Ijaz, provided the officers with an understanding of the security dynamics in the Hazara Division. The tour culminated with a session at the Regional Tax Office in Abbottabad, where Chief Commissioner Mr. Abid Mehmood elaborated on the taxation challenges specific to the Hazara Region.
These visits and interactions, focusing on diverse areas from education to infrastructure to security, aimed to enhance the officers’ comprehension of the administrative and societal nuances of the Hazara Region, facilitating a well-rounded perspective that could inform their future administrative decisions and strategies.
