Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue Set to Advance Bilateral Ties and Regional Cooperation

Beijing, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, has arrived in Beijing for a four-day visit to co-chair the Fifth Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue. The discussions will focus on enhancing bilateral relations, economic cooperation, and regional geopolitical issues.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar will meet with his counterpart, Chinese Foreign Minister and Director of the General Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China, Wang Yi. The leaders are set to review a range of topics including economic and trade cooperation, the progression of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and initiatives for future connectivity between the two nations.

The strategic dialogue is also expected to cover high-level exchanges and visits, underscoring the frequent and foundational diplomatic engagements that characterize the relationship between Pakistan and China. Additionally, discussions will address the broader regional geopolitical landscape and explore avenues for bilateral cooperation in multilateral fora.

During his stay, Dar is also scheduled to engage with top Chinese officials, senior ministers, and leading corporate executives. These meetings are part of ongoing efforts to reinforce the “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership” between Pakistan and China, emphasizing mutual support on core issues, enhancing economic ties, and promoting regional peace and development.
