Pakistan-China Relations Anchor Stability in Global Shifts, Says President Alvi


Islamabad, President Arif Alvi has characterized the Pakistan-China relationship as a cornerstone of stability in a rapidly evolving global landscape. In a detailed interview with Chinese media, the President articulated the enduring partnership between the two nations, underscoring mutual support for each other’s core interests and the broader implications for international cooperation and peace.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Alvi lauded the bilateral ties that span decades, highlighting how these relations serve as a model of solidarity and mutual respect on the global stage. He advocated for a multipolar world order that promotes progress, trade, and equitable development among nations.



Further elaborating on the theme of peace and development, President Alvi praised China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) for its focus on people-centric development, aiming to enhance living standards through improved stability and health. He noted the BRI’s significant role in fostering cooperation and facilitating the movement of goods and people across borders.



The discussion also touched on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a flagship project under the BRI umbrella. President Alvi described CPEC as transformative for Pakistan, with substantial investments in infrastructure, human resources, energy, and industry. He emphasized that such collaborative endeavors between Pakistan and China are instrumental in realizing the vision of shared prosperity and development.
