Pakistan-China Partnership Bolsters IT Sector with New Opportunities


Islamabad: Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, highlighted the expansive opportunities arising from the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China in the IT sector. Speaking at the Global Digital Economy Conference 2024 in Beijing, she underscored the significant potential for joint ventures and technological initiatives under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The partnership is poised to enhance economic growth, job creation, and sustainable development through digital technology integration.



According to Press Information Department, the Minister elaborated on the various prospects for collaboration within fields like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, e-commerce, and digital infrastructure. She pointed out the critical role of the IT sector as a major driver of economic development and innovation, emphasizing the dynamic growth of Pakistan’s IT industry supported by a skilled workforce and favorable government policies. The conference in Beijing serves as a platform for fostering deeper cooperation between Pakistan and China, aiming to leverage digital advancements for mutual benefit.
